Sofus ComerIbrahim, was one of the few survivors of his village, when the 2004 tsunami hit the coasts of sumatra. Today his house is even more "ready" to stand a tsunami, if it comes again.
When the brown river comes
Its not only the coastal areas that where smashed by the 2004 tsunami. Also villages several kilometers inland, had their livelyhoods smashed by the flood.

Without the dykes seperating the rivers from fields, thousands of villagers are monthly troubled by high water levels, that ruins their incomes from growing rice and homes.
