Ireland (2002)

Hitchhiking around Ireland in 2002. We met only friendly and humourfull loving people.
We started out from Dublin and south thru Cork, west thru Kerry off to the Aran Islands near Galway later up via Sligo to the North Coast and into Londonderry and later into Belfast to see the mood there.

Des, from Sligo on the westcoast. He was so kind to pick us up and gave us a tour of Sligo and gave us the story of this monument, which is a rememberance of the hundreds of thousands that left for the United States in the mid 1800s, where the famine of ireland killed almost a million people.
