Port Au Prince - a ruined city
On january Tuesday, 12 January 2010 a catastrophic earthquake hit Haiti, the most impoverished nation in the Western Hemisphere. The magnitude 7.0 Mw earthquake caused major damage and a series of strong aftershocks made the devastation even worse. Thousands and thousands of people died in the quake and in the days to come more people died from their injuries. Numbers says more than 200.000. Residences and commercial buildings has collapsed or are severely damaged, families have lost their dear ones, their homes and needs emergency medical attention, food, water and shelter.

These pictures are shot in the capital of Haiti, Port au Prince in january 2010.
