A Party with God

During the first weekend of October, the Inner Mission of Denmark gathered it's youth from all over teh country in a sports convention centre in Vejen in a rural part of western Denmark for the annual celebration of faith.
Event '08 as it was called, was attended by around 800 teenagers in a three day event of exuberant celebration of singing, praying, reading and Jesus.

The party get's going: Saturday night in the sports convention centre in Vejen and the crowd's joyous roar of anticipation precedes a minute of total silence during prayer.

With a sharp tuned Rune Madsen as the host, Event '08 took off as an MTV award show.

Youth Advisor and preacher in Inner Mission, Jesper Iversen, held two sermons during Saturday night's party.

Event '08 had arranged three "Pray Stations" for the audience to use at will. Volunteer councelors as Camilla Sørensen (left) and Rebekka Hougaard (right) helped out in prayer. During the night, the Pray Stations was widely used.

During a recess in the preachings, Jesper Andersen, age 14, of Hobro dances on an interactive mat in the event's café area. The area also served as an information centre on all subjects religous, from anti abortion to israeli bible study courses.
