Since the Youth House (Ungdomshuset) in Copenhagen was torn down in the Spring of 2007, activists have demonstrated in the streets and fought the police. After a half year of frequent demonstrations and sometimes intense street fighting, a new house was promised to them. The situation is quieter at the moment (Spring 2008) but the longer term activism against racism, capitalism, and militarism continues.
