During the war in Kosovo in 1999 the gipseys in Mitrovica where chased out and their homes burned down. They where placed in camps outside the town, and where told that they would be living there for two months. Now, seven years later, they still live in these camps, and the ground they live on is polluted so that many get sick. NGO are working on building up their homes, but its a slow prosess.
